• Recommend additional honed angle of 30 degrees be applied Before Use
Stanley 12-331 This Replacement Block Plane Iron and Cutter has a 1-5/8"(40mm) cutter width. Stanley replacement plane irons are made from hardened and tempered high carbon chrome steel which have excellent edge retention characteristics and allows a razor sharp edge to be honed. All cutters are ground to give a flat surface that is easier to sharpen. These irons are supplied with an accurate ground edge of 25°, but before use we recommend an additional honed angle of 30° be applied using a fine sharpening stone and honing guide (14-050). For planes prior to "G Series".
